Broken 2
These pictures are x-rays of broken pieces of a mirror wrapped in medical plaster, taken at a hospital in my hometown and covered by my medical insurance. While broken mirrors are a reflective material with many metaphorical implications, they are paradoxically shrouded by plaster in a deadly darkness, and thus devoid of images. The use of medical plaster symbolizes an illness and pain that cannot be seen, and the action of taking an x-ray is brusquely exposing the broken pieces to public.
